Seaside will be taking part in the Copenhagen Light Festival from February 2nd to 25th with the captivating artwork 'The Sustainable Hypnotic Chandelier'. You can experience the artwork every day throughout the entire Copenhagen Light Festival and combine it with a visit to Seaside, where we serve hot drinks and delicious food from Thursday to Sunday. The location at Seaside is quite special, as you also have a view of two impressive light installations at Reffen and the Opera House – a view that definitely is worth a visit.
What is Copenhagen Light Festival?
Copenhagen Light Festival is an annual celebration of light art and design in the heart of Copenhagen. Over three weeks, the festival showcases a variety of light-based artworks, including sculptures, installations, projects, events, and illuminations.
The majority of the artworks are located along a route in the city center, while a few are placed outside the area. The festival invites both international and local audiences of all ages to explore the city during the dark and cold month.
The Sustainable Hypnotic Chandelier

The artwork is a suspended dome crafted from recycled plastic bottles. The sustainable design serves as a captivating installation, creating a unique experience for visitors. As individuals stand, sit, or lie beneath the dome, they are enveloped by the mesmerizing allure of a hypnotic chandelier.
The daytime atmosphere is characterized by the play of homogamic shadows, casting intricate patterns across the surroundings. At night, the dome transforms with spiral lights, illuminating the space and adding a dynamic and visually enchanting element to the overall artistic concept.
The integration of recycled materials and the interplay of light and shadow contribute to the immersive and sustainable nature of the artwork.
